Carsten Lebeck - San Francisco

Carsten Lebeck is a Managing Director at Reynolds Advisory Partners, LLC and has twelve years of corporate development, finance, and investment banking experience, including the past five years as a middle market and growth company mergers and acquisitions investment banker. Mr. Lebeck focuses on serving clients and executing M&A and strategic advisory assignments across all industries at Reynolds Advisory Partners

Prior to joining Reynolds Advisory Partners, Mr. Lebeck served in the Technology, Media and Telecom investment banking group of Wachovia/Wells Fargo Securities, where he was a key member and founder of a new Internet/Digital Media focused group based in San Francisco from 2007 to 2009. While at Wachovia Securities Mr. Lebeck served a number of corporate and financial sponsor clients and executed advisory assignments for clients including Cox Communications, Quinstreet, and Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe. From 2005 to 2007 Mr. Lebeck was an associate at Houlihan Lokey in New York, where he focused on consumer M&A and corporate finance. At Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Lebeck advised a wide range of private and public consumer companies on M&A and financing transactions.

From 1993 to 2004, Mr. Lebeck served in various corporate development and management roles positions in Europe, Asia, and the U.S., for TC Group, NEC, Softbank, Dentsu and AOL. At TC Group, Mr. Lebeck managed a global business unit, established a Joint Venture in Japan, and helped accomplish the acquisition and integration of the public listed consumer electronics company TGI plc.

Mr. Lebeck has executed 15 transactions and advisory assignments.

  • Advising the CEO and Board of Directors of Ashworth (Nasdaq: ASWH) on strategic alternatives and subsequent sell-side process
  • Advising Circle Peak Capital with Golden Gate Capital on its acquisition of Rocket Dog from New York Transit for $110 million
  • Advising Multiview on its sale to Warburg Pincus for $52 million
  • Advising SkinIt, Inc. on a minority equity financing from BrightStar, Inc.
  • Advising KateSpade / Alex Noel, Inc., on sale of stock to the Neiman Marcus Group
  • Advising Visant on the sale of Jostens to Lifetouch for $70 million

Mr. Lebeck earned an M.B.A. from the Darden Graduate School of Business at The University of Virginia, and his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the Aarhus School of Business in Denmark. Carsten also completed studies at Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan and IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain.
